That is one problem I have with Bono though, he almost never lets The Edge talk in interviews, and I find him more interesting as a person.

He's one of my favorite guitarists as well.

Well I would say Bono should stick to what he does best... but his music is **** aswell. So what exactly does he do well?

I'm not judging this based on his personality either. Even though thats a factor as to why I don't like his music. I just really dislike all his music. Everything is so bland and run of the mill.

i think it's just bands turning into generic boring chord progressions with little inspiration. U2 is just one of the many that have done that...

Coldplay will not be the next U2.

They will never write a song like "bullet in the blue sky"

They'll never have a line like "It's no secret that a conscience can sometimes be a pest/It's no secret ambition bites the nails of success/Every artist is a canibal/every poet is a their/ all kill their inspiration and sing about the grief"

RHCP are turning into U2...or allegedly the Eagles.
