David Freiberg came late to Jefferson Airplane just before they split up and did vocals of Dragonfly probably the most interesting Jefferson Starship album. The best song on that album is "Caroline" which was sung by Marty Balin (the only vocals he did on that album)

I disagree with you about Grace Slick though and she was one of the outstanding female vocalists of the 1960s, admittedly the material that she sung with Jefferson Starship wasn`t up to much but she had her moments.

That would be with Jack Casady and both left after the Volunteers album and the group were never the same again. As for Jorma Kaukonen we`re talking about one of the best guitarists in the history of rock.

I'd have agreed Dylan was, by and large, very overrated 2 or 3 years ago.

That was before I heard Time Out Of Mind though.
