Is it really that unpopular to love Nico? I had no idea. I knew she was polarizing, but that's it. And I love her too, especially on Desertshore and Camera Obscura.

I don't understand how anyone can appreciate her voice. She shouldn't be allowed to sing. Her voice ruined what could have been the greatest VU album ever produced.

haha no. sorry, I posted that in the wrong thread, I meant to put it in the "albums you're digging" thread. I'm an idiot!

I've not heard those two albums, just the two I mentioned. I'll be checkin' them out

I love that album because of her too, among other things. Like I said in another thread, I love her unusual voice because it's strong like a wall, but only on the outside. When cracks appear, that's when she sounds the most vulnerable and emotional. And she always has that German folk vibe, almost medieval and fatalistic, in her singing that I like.
