well, a lot of Math bands are losing their math, and it's been a while since I've seen a new Math band come out of the underground. It's a really good genre that shouldn't die.

And, I'd love to see an Ultra-Experimental Math band. I'd crap myself if I found one that was so experimental it's scary. I would love more Math Rock bands.

usually when math band gets ultra experimental they get labeled as post-rock. and I really don't think math is dieing at all. What are some of your favorites?

I'm quite fond of early Don Caballero, especially their album What Burns Never Returns. Recently they've been sucking due to a lack of Ian, and now they're just a Damon Che showoff band.

Hella's album Hold Your Horse Is is a classic math rock album. though I find that recently Hella's been trying too hard to be The Mars Volta, especially on some of the songs with vocals on There's no 666 in Outer Space.

I've been getting into some Sleeping People and I dig what I hear.

^^ Ever checked out Shellac? They're pretty decent, I think you'd definitely like them.

I Think Shellac are pretty much the essential Math band. They're pretty well known too.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I know of Shellac, I just lost all of my Shellac albums in the great computer crash of '08.

I lost quite a bit of music. I might re-download the albums.

Sleeping People are great, I wish they'd put out a new album soon.

Check out this thread if you haven't. There are still some bands there I need to check out: http://www.musicbanter.com/indie-alt...math-rock.html
