Hmmmm cant think of many pending realeases. But thus far Tool ~10,000 days is my fav, and may well stay at the top of the list. I believe releases from the Aussie band The Lving End are coming out soon also looking forward to them.

Brand New's album is looking really good.

Atreyu "A Death Grip On Yesterday" or "The Curse"

so far this year its Rob Zombies but with so many more coming out this summer (Shadows Fall, Slayer, B.L.S. The Haunted) it will probably change. im pretty sure by the end of the year my favorite will be The Haunted's new one.

My favorite purchase is Avenged Sevenfold with City of Evil, but that's older than 2006. Up till now the newest I bought and liked were Misty's Big Adventure, the Kooks, and Panic! At The Disco...
The rest was cool, but these were the best! <3

Wile not groundbreaking per se, The Raconteurs certainly play good music, unlike most of what's out there today.

I'm seeing them this Friday at the Wiltern in L.A.
