Well anything is possible, but not all bands have to change to appease the mainstream audience. I'll assume that you comprehend what I'm saying and have just chosen to play Devil's Advocate.

Just offering an alternative veiwpoint as someone who has seen bands I like achieve mainstream popularity , and criticised them for the way they went about it.

Well anyband that is willing to change everything just to hit it big is most likely not worth listening to in the first place.

I dissagree, plenty of decent bands have gone downhill aiming for comercial success

I liek black, death, thrash, some power and even some 80's hair metal so ye once aian I'm probably in the minority..
I prefer black over most other types of metal, though, personally.
