Best Album Of All Time (revealed)

According to NME magazine, the best album of all time is...

...Oasis - Definately Maybe.

^Definately not^

i never liked oasis.
and second someone cant declare a an album the best album ever, because all peoples opinions, my favourite album is nirvana unplugged, but thats me, and as lame as it sounds,m yes that is my fave album, but thousands of people would disagree. Its just like thebest songwriter articles//

Here's the full list;

1. 'Definitely Maybe' - Oasis
2. 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' - The Beatles
3. 'Revolver' - The Beatles
4. 'OK Computer' - Radiohead
5. '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' - Oasis
6. 'Nevermind' - Nirvana
7. 'The Stone Roses' - The Stone Roses
8. 'Dark Side Of The Moon' - Pink Floyd
9. 'The Queen Is Dead' - The Smiths
10. 'The Bends' - Radiohead
11. 'The Joshua Tree' - U2
12. 'London Calling' - The Clash
13. 'The Beatles (The White Album)' - The Beatles
14. 'Abbey Road' - The Beatles
15. 'Up The Bracket' - The Libertines
16. 'Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols' - Sex Pistols
17. 'Four Symbols (Led Zeppelin IV)' - Led Zeppelin
18. 'The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars' - David Bowie
19. 'A Night At The Opera' - Queen
20. 'Is This It' - The Strokes

I think 'Definately Maybe' is a great album and by far the best Oasis produced, but nowhere near the best ever.
It wouldn't even figure in my personal top 100.
If I had a top 20, only Bowie's 'Ziggy Stardust' would figure in it.
It is a personal taste thing Mikey...but seriously 'Definately Maybe' at number 1...WTF!

Laces Out Dan! 12-23-2006 01:15 PM

Soo...out of that 20...theres only one band from North America if im correct.
Also, How the fuck did the strokes make that list. The Strokes are garbage.

Urban Hat€monger ? 12-23-2006 01:23 PM

Up The Bracket in there & Screamadelica isn`t

Chronotub 12-23-2006 01:26 PM

pretty **** list, but then I wouldn't expect anything else from nme

have they not realised there's more to music than just rock?

right-track 12-23-2006 01:28 PM

Embarrassing isn't it.

LesPaul...I know what you mean, the mag is Brit focused.
I just love the way the readers have put the odd classic album in there too...you just know they won't even have listened to Queen's, 'A Night at The Opera'.
