I'd also like to nominate The Doors - S/T, Rage against the machine - S/T, The White Stripes - Elephant, The Rapture - Echoes, (do we have) Gang of Four - Entertainment, Stone Temple Pilots - Core, Queens of the Stone age - Songs for the deaf (I think I many have already mentioned them).

If nobody objects I shall add them .

Good op. but its not their best..maybe their most dimensional...but thats what love does to ya.

It's amazing how these lists become so generic after a while. I find it positive, though, now one mentioned the Greatful Dead. I never liked these guys. On the other hands, the Velvet Underground is way, way over-rated. They can barely play on their debut, and having Nico sing with a hearty German accent in broken English was an absolute joke! Let me try to inject some new blood. There is no order.
  1. Bluesbreakers featureing EC
  2. Rolling Stone - Sticky Fingers
  3. Ziggy Stardust and the Spider from Mars
  4. BOC - Secret Treaties
  5. The Who - Live at Leeds
  6. The Beatles - White Album
  7. Rush - Permenant Waves
  8. Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
  9. Led Zepplin - Physical Graffitti
  10. REM - MURMUR
  11. RHCP - Blood Sugar Sex Magic
  12. Stooges - Fun House
  13. Janes Addiction - Ritual Habitual
  14. Alice in Chains - Dirt
  15. Soundgarden - Badmotorscooter
  16. Faith No More - Angel Dust
  17. Radiohead - Ok Computer
  18. Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun
  19. King Crimson - Red
  20. King Crimson - Discipline
  21. QOFSA - Songs for the Deaf

Here are some more..
  • Bob Seger - Stranger in Town
  • The Eagles - Hotel California
  • Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the Edge of Town
  • Tom Petty - Damm the Torpedoes
  • Metallica - Master of Puppets
  • The Rolling Stones - Some Girls
  • Bad Company - Straight Shooter
  • Trouble - Trouble
  • Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction
  • Deep Purple - Machine Head
  • The Replacements - Let it Be
  • CSNY - Deja Vue
  • The Who - Quadrophenia (THIS BLOWS AWAY TOMMY!!)

The Velvet Underground and Nico isn't about technical prowess silly.

[*]Janes Addiction - Ritual Habitual[*]Alice in Chains - Dirt[*]Soundgarden - Badmotorscooter

There are some interesting selections on that list. I'm really surprised you picked Ritual de lo Habitual over Nothing's Shocking, and that Soundgarden record is awesome, but I believe it's BadMotorFinger

These Who albums people are suggesting is just painful.

The Who were at their best when they were an anti establishment mod pop act.Not some bunch of classic rock dinosaurs making bloated rock operas.

Quadrophenia is the sound of a band totally past it. I love the movie , but the worst thing about it is the music.
