Speaking of Watt.

Still can't find those damn Contemplating the Engine Room tabs.

I'm about to lose my mind if I can't find them.

Geezer on "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" for the scariest bass line ever.
Definitely Chris Squire

..and Jamerson only used one finger to pluck!

Also, if anyone doesn't think they have ever heard him play, I will be bet they have and didn't know it. He played on so many songs, it has to be a world record of some sort...

Oh, yeah....let's not forget Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy). He was a great frontman, songwriter, lyricist and his bass playing was very tasty. I dig the chorus effect he frequently used.

I'm sure Jamerson holds the record for bass player who has performed on the most number 1 hits, at least by different individual artists.

You realise that those were just the hits and not every song he has ever done. Right?

What boo boo said, I posted that list as an example of his bass playing to illustrate to a member who claimed he'd never heard any of his stuff.
Which obviously everyone has.

Take the first one on that list.
My Girl by the Temptations. Ask anyone how that song goes and the chances are they'll 'der' the bass line intro instead of singing the opening lyrics.
On a note of interest Geddy Lee is a great admirer of Jamerson.
I'll even argue that he's the most influential bass player ever.
