Thanks for the feedback. Dave Matthews was a consideration and still is he should be in there over Jack Johnson, but I love that kid.

But no excuse for Zeppelin ever outside of any top 10. Just too big on too many levels and for my money light years better then any other band has been on their best day. I get goosebumps whenever I hear most of their songs still to this day.

System of a Down has a special place for me as well as they along with Tool introduced me to what i believe is the best music of the last five years, the technical metal. You think they suck? Who do you like better in the genre?

I dont think its the best music of the last five years. But even still A Perfect Circle and Tool I prefer. APC more to be honest. SOAD is very soft, i hold them in low standings with bands as terrible as linkin park and nickelback.

It's odd that we would both like Tool and hate Nickelback and Linkin Park and yet have completely opposite opinions of both Perfect Circle and System. Nickelback drives me nuts.

Why Led Zep doesn't belong in the top 10:
Bad lyrics. Want proof? Listen to All of My Love. Jimi Page stole riffs. Overall they weren't spectacular musicians. They always seemed indecisive about the path they wanted to take in their musical style. Certainly top 50 but not top 10.

A lot of those do reflect my personal taste so it's no wonder they might seem overly praised.

Also I feel I am committed to at the least representing each genre as it's not a stretch to suggest I enjoy music of any particular variety. For Rap Tupac I am flexible with but Rakim is the model for the modern thoughtful MC and in my mind is still untouched. In country Music I feel Garth Brooks gets a bad rap in general because people remember the Chris Gaines thing and his lousy personality. However as a country musician he reached unprecedented popularity and is responsible for great country songs like Friends in low places, The Thunder Rolls and The Dance. Also I just thing Rage was too big and too unique to not at least be considered.

I am a big fan Blackstar and Mos Def. Biggie and Pac are a toss up to me and it seems like that's the general thought as well.
