I have that as well , all of my friends either listen to Drum & Bass , R&B , Hip Hop or old Metal.

I also came here because my friends think my favourite bands are too strange for them, therefore they won't talk with me about them. But I think people here even don't listen to some of the bands I like, so maybe I'll be alone forever. lol But I doubt that since some of you have mentioned you like my LastFm list. Also I get annoyed easily when someone disagrees with what is good and what is not, so instead of losing friends, I came here. lmao. Not that I want to cause problems, but I'm just hoping that some of you understand my problems with being a music snob and can sympathize and not take it too personally if I out right say, "Green Day sucks!" lol

I'm sure no one is gonna throw a hissy fit over it, I myself like them, and have gone head to head with numerous...children for lack of a better word, who came into the thread with only that, "they suck". If you're gonna dump on a band, and have your opinion taken seriously, you would need to elaborate a bit further. That's something Chris taught me...

Plus, saying GD sucks isn't very snobby, it's just trendy. Try saying RATM suck, and I'm gonna be forced to hunt you down....and have a ferocious pillow fight over it...or maybe arm wrestle...I'd leave that up to you.

I would never say RATM sucks, lol. They are my favourite political rap-rock band! Also, yeah I usually alaborate on why I think a band sucks. But some bands, it's just too obvious that by me pointing it out, is just a waste of breathe...err type (?)

I'm a member mainly because I love music, and am always willing to hear new music. I am not bothered in the slightest if people don't like what I listen to, they should'nt listen then should they?!

I use to be a snob but nowadays I have no shame and don't give a fuck what anyone listens to.

that's contageous by the way, i started listening to some of your recommendations, got very into it...admittadely havent listened to any in a while, and i was quite the same.

I get the feeling most people who spend an excessive ammount of time on an internet forum entirely based around music and music discussion would have to be atleast a little snobbish when it comes to the topic.
