What's your favorite live album? Or if you can't pick an album then what about a song? AC/DC live and The Roots' Come Alive would definity be mine. :bowdown:

I forget what the cd is called but it is Social Distortion live and they are great!

The Linkin Park - Live In Texas is a pretty good album.

Off Topic: I was thinking about picking it up.

KISS is also good live, I saw them and have a live cd by them.

I gave Live at Budokan some seirous consideration. Its a great album. Its hartd for me, because I have an entire archive of fully mixed and mastered soundboard direct bootlegs of live shows that Iv'e done sound for, so some of my favorite live albums haven't and will never be publicly released.

I recently heard Evanescence's live album. It was pretty good.

mutiny on the bay-dead kennedys

Live at the On Broadway is a much better Dead Kennedys show, although its a video and not an album, guess it doesnt count, but mutiny on the bay was a disapointment for me.

i don't own a lot of live albums but still my pick would be nirvana unplugged

thats probably the only nirvana album i would consider buying.

'Consider'? Buy it, its a great album.. Gotta be one of my favourite live albums.. BUT I do like Machine Head's Hellalive.. Mm hmm.

I have a bootleg of them headlining the 1992 Reading festival.

Now THAT is worth listening to , And i`m not even that much of a fan of them.

ya, im not a big fan of nirvana, never really was..the unplugged album though is where kurts vocal style shine IMO. Theres a local music channel here that plays alot of old nirvana footage and some of it is pretty interesting, like footage from house parties or when they played smells like teen spirit on a japan(?) station and kurt was so loaded he sounded like the guy from Rammstein, put a cool twist on the song.

I detest live albums.

Why is that? I my opinion some bands live albums are many times better than their studio output. MC5 comes to mind almost instantly.

Phish are another band who are way better live than in the studio.
