He did some lovely solo blues work later in his life: I think it's more beautiful than his popular work like "Empty Rooms". That's very popular, but after that no one really seemed to pay much attention to him.

The problem with critics is they always have their own favourites just like everybody else, that's why awards shouldn't just be taken at face value.

Neither am I saying that being overrated is bad, I just dom't think she is an artist I would mention in this thread. I mentioned Gary Moore earlier only because I think some of his work s fantastic but unaccredited, and I can't think how Taylor applies in that category.
she's pretty much just an average singer who doesn't even look that good

pretty good for pop fluff on the radio but i wouldn't rate her anymore than that

now, Rascal Flatts and the Zac Brown Band - those are good pop-country

I am so sorry that Gary Moore is no longer here. Gary Moore is indeed a underated artist. I wonder why the **** why this man never got his recognition.

Overrated - Couldn't be righter with The Beatles. - Skrillex. < can't stress that enough. Other than that most have been mentioned that I was gonna say...

Underrated - Mike Skinner (The Streets), John Frusciante as a solo artist, Helios, Mythematica, Silversun Pickups...

Interesting, do you like Beebs for his looks as well as his music?
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Taylor, I just think she's quite well recognised already. As is Beebs!

I was going to start some kind of memorial thread for him dying on Feb 6th last year, but I missed the boat a bit :/

He did have two hits much earlier on, "Empty Rooms" and "Still Got The Blues", but the last four albums weren't really recognised as much as they deserved.

i'm not going to put him on any pedestal and say he is innovative, ground-breaking, blah blah blah - he's good at what he does best - candyfloss pop

he looks like any other cracker kid to me

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, looks like a white hum chim beng (round pastry we have here)

I think you should start a Gary Moore thread indeed.

I might, I'll need some time to get things sorted out for it, like a few videos etc.

Duce: Are you of the opinion that albums Moore did like Old New Ballads Blues were particularly underrated? I think they were among his best - but I'm not sure which ones you were referring to earlier.
