Sounds like an over-produced "Let's go back to The 60's" thing Hollywood craps out every now and then.
Don't be a douchebag, actually watch it for yourself before levelling an opinion at it.

I think it's an entertaining film, and I like the way some of the songs are dramatised. It isn't GREAT, but it certainly isn't as bad as some other members have claimed it to be. I did enjoy the trippy segments, as contrived as they were.

At least I was honest. If I find it for $3 at the most, then I may think about wasting my time with it. Expect a scathing review, anyways.

It looks like to me a mix of 1969 (OK flick, but not memorable), Beatlemania: The Movie (Yes, the Beatles Cover Band stage show was on film too...yuk!), Glee (Not a fan), a TV movie of the week, and maybe The Strawberry Statement (Flop MGM film from 1970 trying to go on the Youth Revolt bandwagon too late) with some special effects and a very high budget production.

The Beatles were a great band.
These bloated tributes do nothing in my opinion.

One of the kids in that movie goes to my school.
I have never seen it but I've only ever heard good things about it.
Not surprised to hear people on MB saying bad things about it, though.

How can you have an opinion on a movie you've never watched? That in itself is a pretty asinine and arrogant thing to do. It doesn't make sense to me.

I like the movie, but I watched it more for the art style and the choreography than anything else, though they did do a good job on the covers as well (though the whole idea of "modernizing" old classics like Glee isn't really my cup of tea). I also thought the cameos in the movie were pretty cool (Bono and Joe Cocker's parts, for instance).
