^Haha, I think that's the best tag fail I've ever seen.

Edit: Even better, I can't quote it!

Classical? Pretentious?! Whaat? I think Classical is the one genre that people can't really "hate". I mean, I've never heard someone think it to be pretentious. IFFFF they thought it to be far superior to any other genre and talked your ear off about how great it is and such then maybe. It's more about the person really.

Smooth Jazz is a crowd pleaser as well. I couldn't imagine putting it on and someone feeling as uncomfortable as, say, playing Nargaroth for your conservative aunt Sharon.

I don't care how much of a music snob I become.

As long as I never become a jazz bore.

If you join a music forum, the odds are good that you're a snob.
To be fair I just joined here to take the piss a bit. Then a year and 2 months later, I'm still here.

It didn't really work out to plan. You lot turned me snobbier. I was quite happy listening to my Oasis albums until I was blue in the face! But now I can't really stand listening to them.

You all ruined me.

I think everyone is a music snob if you're basing it on people who think their music taste is superior. I know someone who likes Lily Allen and Tinchy Strider, she thinks I listen to 'mosher music'.

Fair enough, she's not a music snob because she's a f*cking idiot. But according to you, she is. If forcing her musical opinions on me makes her one.

I don't think it's pretentious, but I know f*cking loads of people that hate it. I'm indifferent to it, I'd rather not listen to it but it still gets dubbed as being pretentious/up itself by some.

I do hate those very much.

I dislike just about anyone who thinks that their genre clinging community and subculture has a better understanding of music than everyone else.

As a prog fan I tried socializing with other prog fans, only to realise that most of them are just as arrogant and snobby as indie fans, metal fans, punk fans, jazz fans, classical fans and so on.

Didn't you use the term ''Indie F@gs'' not too long ago? As if to dismiss an entire genre.

The kind of people salivate over blue note albums who wish the last 60 years of popular culture didn't exist.

Thankfully they tend to be stuck in high art shows and broadsheet newspapers rather than places like this forum.
