i have no idea what you just actually said, but parachutes is definitely coldplay's best album.

oh, without a doubt. but then, RoBttH has a number of unbelievable tracks and an overall fuller, richer sound. To me, x&y is just coldplay totally dry out of ideas. next album'll only have the potential to be good if they are prepared to risk a little reinvention.

robtth is my least favorite one. admittedly, there are two or three tracks that stand out within their entire discography, but i like x&y way more overall.

i'm just going to cross my fingers for the next one.

The Mae Shi - HLLLYH: bouncy electro-rock
Clinic - Do It!: psychedelic indie rock
Cicada - Maladies: brooding electro

Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! is easily the song of the year. It has everything you want: drugs, sex, biblical references.

Best of 2008 - Rate Your Music

Here's my list so far it's subject to change though. I mean I didn't even like Real Emotional Trash when I first listened to it.

Christ you get through a lot of music, i didn't even know half of those artists had an album out. Bit of a cop out at No 1.

My top 5 so far.

1. The Kills - Midnight Boom
2. Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons
3. Cat Power - Jukebox
4. Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree
5. Black Moth Super Rainbow - Dandelion Gum (i thought that was 2007 though)

No Age which i got yesterday has a strong chance of entering high up too.

I like Real Emotional Trash, Nouns, and April so far this year. Most of what I have heard has been really disappointing, or just straight up bad.

There are still plenty of albums that have yet to come out that I am sure I will like. Such as the new Silver Jews, Robert Pollard, Hold Steady, Rakim, Beck, The War on Drugs, etc. Anyway, here are my albums from 2008 (most are rated):
