I'm a huge fan of this band, but... I have yet to listen to this album (I think I might tomorrow). It's nice to see that you enjoy them, though... If my memory serves right, you have struggled with liking progressive rock in the past (however, I might be wrong)..

Yea... I remember you posting a drone doom metal album a while back (Menace Ruin?). I ended up looking into it because my taste in metal is very lacking... When I gave it a spin, I remember thinking it sounded a lot like Nico's solo work... which was rather refreshing and unexpected considering it's a metal.

You're definitely right about me and prog, but at the same time, I don't think this album has a lot of prog qualities. Maybe I haven't heard enough prog to know?

They're more of a fusion of prog rock and punk (some called them "prunk"). Now... I wouldn't know about that album in particular, but the other albums that I have listened to exhibit elements of the genre.

Yeah Menace Ruine are great, spot on with the Nico reference too. Have you listened to bands like Gnaw and Locrian? If not you should, really amazing stuff.

Suuns - Zeroes QC (2010)

Another deeply attractive art rock album. Kinda dark, kinda noisy, all pleasing. Gaze is an amazing track. For anybody that enjoyed Snowman's Absence.

Shall be checking this out, really like The Horse, The Rat and The Swan by Snowman.
