Giving this another, another listen. It's really growing on me. You should like it Frown.

I'll scope it. I loved a couple of his features but when I checked out 4NML HSPTL I was very disappointed. I'm willing to let that go if this is as good as you say though.

yeah I know shes got a few reissues so im guessing theres atleast some overlap. Also her "album" with Randy Raine-Reusch in the Driftworks compilation, In the Shadow of the Phoenix is also great. could be my second fav thing shes been a part of.

Destroy All Monsters Hot Box 1974-1994

First time hearing them. Mix of art rock & punk. Definite influemce on Sonic Youth can be heard.

Parkay Quarts/Parquet Courts Content Nausea

There's a Velvet Underground/Dylan "Subterranean Homesick Blues'-era sound here that I love.

Alfredito Linares Salsa A Todo Sabor...

Killer album from the Peruvian salsa legend is a mix of salsa, Latin Jazz and Afro-Cuban music.

D'Angelo And The Vanguard Black Messiah

Vocals should be more above the mix but otherwise I'm really enjoying this release.

Meant to check out the new Parquet Courts album I enjoyed Sunbather, would you say this one is better or worse?

I like Sun better but Nausea is still well worth a listen.

Maybeshewill - Not For Want of Trying (2008)
A mostly instrumental post-rock album. Despite being relatively short for a post-rock album it's got quite a lot going on, including metal riffs, piano parts and some electronic elements. The production also gives the album a nice loud, scuzzy feel.

Sunbather is a Deafheaven record:rofl: Sunbathing Animal is Parquet Courts. I hope this leads you to listen to Sunbather if you haven't already, cause it's really good.

Beirut - Gulag Orkestar

I didn't expect this band to sound like this at all. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but I love it.
