You should check out some Jay-Z. I've recently become a convert and Blueprint, The Black Album, and American Gangster are all immense.

Jay-Z ranges from being a brilliant story teller to putting me to sleep for being so boring. Bat rec'd some solid stuff though.

^When I found out Jay Z was on a Kanye album, I started listening to Magna Carta...Holy Grail. It's quite good. I'll give those recs a listen as well.

he just ended up getting to the point where he no longer needed to try in order to sell his music, and from then on he started only really showing up on tracks every once and awhile.

dude that mash up album is still to this day some next level **** and probably the most (and maybe only) positive thing to come out of the nu-metal movement
