The Ephemeral Wing by Colin Bragg, with Blake Helton

https://colinbragg.bandcamp.com/albu...ephemeral-wing

This could appeal to fans of Basho, Fahey, Al Di Meola, and/or Michael Hedges. Bragg is probably the best guitarist with this little web presence I’ve ever come across. Highest recommendations. What an absolutely incredible overlooked gem. Fantastic. Really.

I’m really liking the new Alanis Morissette album, “Such Pretty Forks in the Road”

I'm slowly starting to discover Mary Halvorson; I started out with this interpretation of the Beatles' With a Little Help From my Friends because it made me curious and it seemed good to start from somewhere familiar. I think it's delightful, the way she takes the original song as a base structure and weaves a kind of web around it. Also she adds a lot of swing, which is always great

It's part of an album which is a cover of Sgt. Pepper in its entirety by various musicians. I like the other tracks too, but this one stands out to me

I'm currently listening to this, which is also fantastic:

Mary Halvorson is amazing.
One often overlooked project she has is People, which is imo pretty cool and a bit different.

I respect her right up there with Derek Bailey.

Overlooked by me as well, listening now and it's incredible. Gotta say as much as I love Halvorson, Kevin Shea's drums are really stealing the show so far.

Yeah, Shea is a monster.
Saw him live with MOPDTK and he blew my mind. Well, they all did.

This is cool indeed. And those drums are definitely wild

Sleepyhead- Cavetown

This is Cavetown's latest album, and freaking awesome if you enjoy indie/singer songwriter vibes! "Sweet Tooth" is my favorite of his new songs!
