The debut album from 'The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble' out of San Diego, California. Instrumental soul/funk with organ featuring prominently in the mix. Great tunes from beginning to end.

The Jive Turkeys - Bread & Butter (2010)


Another great album of instrumental tunes where organ features prominently in the mix. This is their debut (and only) album. Seems like they must've disbanded sometime after their debut album, as there's nothing else they released afterwards. A shame, since this is such a solid debut.

Squid - Bright Green Field

I think this may be the first 10/10 album for me to come out in...I don't know, over a decade probably. This thing is ****ing spectacular. Somehow they've made post-punk feel fresh and new in the year 2021 while sprinkling in some jazz and ambient influences. So many absolute banger tracks, and "Narrator" might be the greatest song of all-time I don't even know man I'm riding the hype right now but this is seriously a god tier album

Mark IV - Lånt tid

A nice comeback album, it is a bit different from their other albums from the Mark II (1997), III (2000) and Jord·Luft·Ild·Vand (2002).
I liked most of the songs from the new album, some more some less.
There are more instruments, oriental sound.
I still like their older sound more.
But I am still happy that they returned with a new album this year.
