I enjoyed Devin Townsend's Accelerated Evolution pretty much all day today...I think I played through at least three times... and that is no bad thing, its darn fine album!

The Empyrean by John Frusciante
I might have to check that out...I've never listened to any of his solo stuff.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Anyone who has read my Church posts knows that I love the early 90's stuff, and wasn't really a huge fan of their 80s stuff, but this album has really grabbed me recently. Destination, Lost, Blood Money, North, South, East and West, Reptile and A New Season especially.

I love this Church album. Reptile is one of my favourites, too.

The Church is amazing IMO, every single album is absolutely worthwhile... although it must be said that I listen to their 90's output far more often these days!

Cobalt:Gin

Up there with the latest Hacride release for Metal album of the year. It's a phenomenal album and restores your faith in the genre amidst so much banal commercial tripe.

Frusciante really doesn't really sound similar to LITE (don't wanna mislead you) - it was just that off-kilter, funky guitar riff that popped up in the LITE song that reminded me of John. It's mostly that I've been a little obsessed with the latest Frusciante album lately so I'm hearing similarities in weird places.
