What I especially like is the way they openly mock the British class system throughout, something 60's pop albums weren't known for.

My favorite Kinks album. I went on a slight binge this past Saturday, playing Something Else, Village Green, Arthur, Muswell Hillbillies, and The Great Lost Kinks Album. I only skipped Lola because I played it recently.

social satire yielded pretty much all their classics, although village green is the whimsical idealistic one which you can't argue with really. PE would be proud. Plastic Man/Burn Hollywood Burn there is definitely a link there. or not

Seriously, people like this make me depressed because they're not that much older than me and they're doing so much more with their lives.
