Just heard of this thanks to Music phantom.

Not as good as Dangermouse's White Album mash up but still good. In general not enough Pavement but there are incredibly good moments throughout.

This was the album I listened to on my long coach trip to London Via Germany in the summer and it was just perfect looking out the window to. It's the only album I have of theirs. I need Moar.

So back in high school, when my iPod was filled with probably 90% metal and a little bit of alternative I heard about this interesting genre called noise music. I forgot about it, then got into bands like NMH, MBV, Dinosaur Jr, and The Pixies. One day I stumbled across this album. Imagine my surprise when I realized that noise thing I heard about essentially combined the layers of distortion blasting out of MBV's Loveless and the brutality of death metal. I fell in love instantly, and this was my real introduction to the genre. I ****ing love this album, it was going to be in my top 100 thread I gave up on.
I put this album up in one of my threads for people to listen to and I love it. Great choice.

Default What NEW Bands are you digging at the moment?

Write down (or type) any bands that have recently come into the music scene that you like. Be sure to write down the genre.

I myself am really liking Cage The Elephant, I know they came out earlier this year but I still consider that new. They are a Punk/rockish group.

i don't normally go for 'greatest hits' compilations, especially when i have a band's full discography. but this one is brilliant. President Gas is one of those tracks that can put a smile on my face no matter how lousy i feel, and it's a great way to kick off the album. from there, it's pure gold all the way to the end...

Depending on how recently you mean.

Deadmau5 - House
Justice - House
MSTRKRFT - House
Calvin Harris - Electropop/House
Blessed By a Broken Heart - Metalcore/Glam Metal (a weird fusion, but very good in my opinion.)
Scar Symmetry - Melodic Death Metal
Pendulum - Electronic Rock/Drum & Bass
Pryda - yes another House artist. =P
Basshunter - Eurodance
Ultrabeat - Eurodance/Hardcore (hardcore dance that is)
DJ Nysus - House
