Yes - The Yes Album

One of my favorites from Yes. Maybe not their biggest achievement, but it's accessible and not over the top. It's fun and well played.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I wholeheartedly agree with you there, I remember spending hours trying to learn Over the Hills and Far Away on my guitar back when I was first picking it up. I can almost gaurantee that none of those 3 will take the spot... of course it's you, but I don't think I've ever met anyone who would call any of those 3 the best Zeppelin album.

Been digging: Trouble Books - Endless Pool EP

If you've heard United Colours Of Trouble Books you know exactly what to expect, this EP could have been more songs in the album. Hedgehog is the best song. If you liked the album, I'd highly recommend this.

Yup, that's why I said I was confident that that this was my favorite, even without hearing those 3.

Been meaning to get this one since it came out 12 years ago. I finally got a hold of it yesterday and it's fantastic. I have no idea why on earth it took me so long to check it out.

I have no idea. For some unknown reason Angels with Dirty Faces is the first Tricky album I have ever owned despite the fact that I've always liked his music.

The Legendary Pink Dots - From Here You'll Watch the World Go By

Good stuff. Shouldn't have sold it way back when. Damn college kids.

I love Maxinquaye to bits but then I have not even heard Angels so I feel a little guilty at that His latest is pretty solid too. Got a link for Angels matey?

Friendship Time - Friendship Time

I played this when I left work, it's great! Thanks to Anteater for the hookup. This is very playful and upbeat progressive rock, very skillfully played and often fast. An obvious influence is Yes, perhaps in the time frame of The Yes Album and Fragile, but I find it more playful than those. More like Gentle Giant minus the vocal style and Medieval vibe. So those are the well-known influences, but, the album REALLY reminds of a couple other obscure prog albums I have, Yezda Urfa's Sacred Baboon mostly (who actually shows a bigger Gentle Giant influence than Friendship Time does) and also Mirthrandir's For You the Old Women. All 3 albums have similar vocals as well, which honestly I'm not too fond of but are not over used on either of them, and the musicianship more than makes up for them. Fun stuff, thanks Anteater.

Satta Massagana by The Abyssinians (1976)

An absolute work of art. 10/10 Can't even attempt to pick a favorite song of it because they are all so wonderful. I mostly like it because of how natural and primal it sounds, none of those sythesized elements- which is my favorite kind of reggae.
And how cool is that album artwork? Its now the background on my computer
