Not able to post Album art at this stage due to lack of activilty as I'm a "Newbie".

The album I'm putting forward here is a Compilation CD from 2003 called "Boudoir Beats". Its in a Jazz/Chillout Vein.

Picked it up second hand and of the 30
something tracks on double CD I'd only heard of a handful of the artists previously.
These are David Holmes, Grooove Armada, Royksopp,
Loose Ends, John Barry, Paul Hardcastle & Primal Scream.

I'll often punt blindly for an album from the second hand stuff available in Charity Shops, Music Stalls etc and this one turned out to be a real good find for me.

I like this kind of discovery as I'll find a song/artist that is new ground for me and I then go on to explore more of their work.

Both Cd's on in this collection include some great new tunes for me.

CD1

Royksopp - Remind Me is a tune (my fave of the collection)
I now love but its probably the only one in my collection that is in this genre. I'd go as far as describing it as "Camp as a row of Tents". Its Ace!

Tracks 14,15,16... all in a row are amazing Funky/Deep Bassy tunes that have been layed on the album in perfet order.
All three have great basslines and the first two especially for me are sexy tunes.

Track 14 - Bushy feat. I K Dell
Track 15 - Max Sedgley - Slowly
Track 16 - Loose Ends - Feel the Vibe

CD2

I've tended to listen to CD 1 most, but from CD 2 I can recommend the following:-

Primal Scream - Star
Custom Blue - So Low
Tiefschwarz - Never

Nice, nice. Honestly I picked this up cause I was looking for some of Yo-Yo Ma's cello stuff, but liked the samples when I checked them out. I don't know Mr. Ax or the other guy, but I mean, I like what I hear. He definitely kicks some ass on here. Way better than me, that's for sure. I love the piano, so I might look for more from him.

Life of Leisure by Washed Out

This is synthpop that transcends the '80s Revival' tag

Wilco - Yankee Foxtrot Hotel

I'm a little confused with this album to be honest... it's a lot slower than I normally like and something in Jeff Tweedy's voice bugs me... and yet like an abused spouse I keep coming back to it.

Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

A high school classic!

'Walk' is the only song that bugs me when I play this. Decent enough but kind of weak and commercial. Probably due to it being overplayed. Here are some better ones:

I can't express how much I loved 'Hollow' back then, and still do. It so fucking deep. It just really affected me back then and hearing it really brings me back to those days. Amazing song.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Curtis Mayfield-Curtis
Whilst not the awesome tour-de-force Superfly was, still fantastic stuff.

Madder Rose - Panic On

A pretty good 90's album from a band that not many people think about anymore.

I swear I listened to that album every day I had my weights class my senior year in high school, it kind of turned me off of it just because it was overplayed which is a shame because it's a really good album.
