It's "antifolk" I guess, but it's so fun, upbeat, incredibly happy and whimsical and all sorts of awesome.

The Idle Race - Birthday

Really been enjoying this one the last two weeks, played it twice today. I downloaded it last year and had only played it once until last week. That's the beauty of shuffle...it reminds you of stuff you may have set aside without giving a proper chance. Just a perfect little psych pop album from 68. Fans of The Beatles, The Kinks, other late 60s psych pop should enjoy this.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Do you have a link for that one, by any chance?

I'd zip it and upload it but don't have time right now...just found this and this though. No idea what the quality is.

I'm with you man, Heavens End is my favourite Loop album. But I like 'em all.

The Roots - How I Got Over (2010)

Really enjoying their latest album, it's got a great balance of jazz, funk, soul, hip hop, and even some indie rock without feeling inconsistent. All in all this may actually be my favorite hip hop album of 2010.

St. Vincent - Marry Me

After completely wearing out her latest album Actor, I decided to check her debut. This barely holds a candle to Actor, but that is really just because that album is so freaking good. This album still has some great moments. Kind of indie-poppish female singer songwriter stuff so if that sounds interesting and you haven't listened to her before, go with Actor first but don't neglect this one.

The Verlaines - Bird Dog & Hallelujah All the Way Home

Two great albums by The Verlaines. Amazing, well-written, jangly indie pop songs with fantastic lyrics - they're one of my favourite Flying Nun bands, and that's saying something.
