Star Power (Evol, great album but its had to choose a stand-out)
Schizophrenia (Sister)
Dirty Boots and Kool Thing (Goo)
Sugar Kane and Youth Against Fascism (Dirty)
Bull In The Heather (Experiment Jet Set, Trash and No Star)
The Diamond Sea (Washing Machine)
Sunday (A Thousand Leaves)
The Empty Page (Murray Street)
Reena (Rather Ripped)
"Unwind" from Washing Machine and "Do You Believe In Rapture?" from Rather Ripped, too.

Also, their cover of "Superstar" is amazing. It might be the best thing they've ever done and I'm a huge fan of their catalogue. It's obsess-worthy, in my opinion.

Too hard to choose, but Threat and Public Service Announcement are up there for me.

I get bored by Mogwai. I don't know what it is. I'm fine listening to Stereolab, Godspeed, Explosions, Sigur Ros etc but they are just so ****ing comatose.

I think everyone needs a little dose of Mercury Rev now and then. =)

Some people are unable to immerse themselves fully into music without the need to find hooks or originality or attitude etc. It's all about the ambience and finding your own zone. Music isnt always about beating you around the head. It's also there to calm the soul. I can fully understand people finding 'Mogwai' boring. It's their loss

I said I listened to Godspeed.

It's not the lack of hooks, it's really the lack of emotion or album presence. I've listened to a few Mogwai albums all the way through, and they really don't do anything. It's the same reason I don't like Kid A. It doesn't really do anything, just pretty much meanders around for forty minutes.

Oh, did I say something violently offensive? Sorry, won't share my opinions next time.

At one point, I listened to other people rather than my own instincts, but since then, I've come to realize that I enjoy Amnesiac far, far more.

No one's music taste is good OR bad. It's just what they like. People who like teenybopping **** annoy me, yes, but people in general annoy me. It doesn't make them good or bad, no one's taste is any better that anyone elses'. Everyone has there own individual perception of EVERYTHING, not just music. How can anyone be better or worse, how can a TASTE be any better or worse, when everything relies on subjection and perception? I don't understand why people argue - it's as if you're trying to work another person around to you're opinion, and that will never happen, people have their own, especially on a site like this. Debates are lovely and intelligent, you can even be creative with them, like Urban (example "10 Reasons Why The Rolling Stones Were Better Than The Beatles"). But. Random arguments dodging others individual tastes? Rather pointless.
