![]() I'm digging this album because the bands name is Blood Sausage. I've no idea what it's like but I just wanted to own an album by a band called Blood Sausage so I can say that I own an album by a band called Blood Sausage. There's a song called Billy Joel on this, There's also one called Fucking A Junkie Without A Condom. They're made up of ex members of Huggy Bear, and once recorded a split with Cornershop.. Which is interesting.

Boardsofcanada's mini review got me to drag it out after letting it collect virtual dust on my hard drive for a while. A little too close to the trance side of IDM to be a regular thing for me, but It's definitely good to have a nice, loud listen every so often. Today, I guess, has been one of those days.

All of which reminds me, I still haven't got round to looking for any of the soundtracks she's done. Must get on with finding them that soon... Sleater-Kinney - Dig Me Out ![]() Proof that girls can rock out too, and actually be quite good at it. Very good album - one of those that works best at maximum volume. The Future Sound Of London - Environments II ![]() Another example of some of my favourite ever sleeve artwork. As for the album itself, it's part of what FSOL have been up to since the Isness/Otherness, that being a series of four minimalist ambient albums. This one starts out a bit dull, but really picks up with its second half. Not as interesting as Environments I overall though. |

Anywho I be digging. ![]() Gothic Rock week made me dig this up, what a great band Fields Of The Nephilim were. Three absolute brilliant albums and this is my personal favourite. ![]() I used to always think the women on the cover of this was wearing a cowboy hat, now I realise it's her hand. Pretty much perfect New Wave and they never matched their debut. ![]() Working on my Blues comp reminded me to listen to this again, I enjoyed it when i listened ages ago and always told myself i'd keep it top of the pile. Now I realise I should of. Skip's a real legend and this is just fantastic Blues. |
