Death Angel—The Ultra-Violence (probably the most similar to Slayer on this list)

Sodom—Agent Orange
Testament—The Gathering (featuring Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo)
Sacred Reich—The American Way

Thanks, I'm gonna check out some of those right now.

Kenichiro Nishihara - Humming Jazz

I saw this recommended around here somewhere and checked it out...this is awesome! It has some of the smoothest jazz piano mixed with hip hop and r&b I've ever heard. Thanks to whoever posted about this!

This album is captivating. Folk-rock ish style with wonderful samples and production. Give it a shot if you haven't yet!

^ Hell yes that is a great album. The first few times I played it, I didn't really see the big deal. But it's grown on me in a big way, one of my favorite discoveries of the last 12 months. To call it "folk-rock is style" doesn't really do it justice and could turn some people off...it's a very electronic album as well. Fans of both could really enjoy it.

^^ agreed, tis a great album!

about the calling it "folk-rockish"...i definitely wouldn't solely call it that because like sidewinder said, it is very electronic too. to me, i would more so say that Bibio blended elements of both together. and boy did he ever do it well!

^ I added that to my wishlist when you first mentioned it, Pete, but haven't checked it out yet. Nice to see so many other people like it.

Um, yes please! This is very enjoyable. I guess you could say it's more accessible than their first album, but I'm digging it right off the bat. It rocks and it's catchy!

Checked out The Big Echo, but I just love this album so much more. Not to say that The Big Echo isn't a good album, because it surely is, but this just really hits the proverbial spot :)
