Some damn fine rhyming on this disc, although it's hardly the most uplifting record ever.

Music By Cavelight by Blockhead

At first this album kind of annoyed me but somehow a few of the songs on here got stuck in my head so when I gave it another listen I got hooked. Very mellow trip-hop with an experimental feel to it. Almost reminds me of portishead but more mellow and much less dissonant. Lots of instruments, weird beats, and super mellow synthesizer stuff. If you like djshadow, djkrush, or rjd2 check this album out.

I have no idea what the fuck any of the lyrics mean but they're sung in a way that sounds pretty genuine, even if Jordan Blilie's voice is doctored.

I love the way this track finishes off the album....

I was expecting more of that kind of sound in the video and instead got a balance between some slower, more experimental art/noise rock kind of stuff and dirty psychedelic rock. Not that it was a let-down though. The mixture of male/female vocals is really good too.

You know, I wasn't feeling the male/female vocals at first. I rarely ever do, but it just sounds so right in some parts. I've yet to listen to their self-titled. I've downloaded it recently, so I'll get back to you. I always seem to work my way backwards with a lot of bands that I've been into. I'll be sending a loaded PM your way if you haven't found it yet. Also, how did you like Pagan Terrorist Tactics?

Now I've been enjoying this album for many years, but Violent & Funky's recent post in the "last purchase/download" thread made me throw it on the lil' iPod. It's just amazing how great of a mood listening to Dillinger Four puts me in. Every single time, no matter the album. (see first entry in my journal for example :D ). They are such a fun band, they make me want to run out into the sun and jump around in public with a big smile on my face. And drink booze.

I'm liking it a lot too... :thumb:

I have to add my thanks as well... already bought the album after I heard the two songs you put up and it does not dissappoint at all.

Newish female fronted post punk/C86/Synthpop type band from Brighton.
They sing about pregnant women, music snobs, lost dogs & Mark E Smith.

This is the most fun i've had listening to a new album in ages.
Their new album has just come out too. I think I might be getting it on the strength of this.

Swans - Greed/Holy Money

Less than a month until the gig, I'm extremely excited!
