It's not so much the backlash that she gets that upsets, it's just the people who typically give it to her have such drab, boring retorts. "You know, her voice isn't even like pleasant!". Scraping the bottom of the barrel =/= an argument.

I've always preferred Milk Eyed Mender as an album, personally. I do like Ys, but sometimes it feels too finished, the ruggedness of Milk Eyed mender, and the range and diversity of the songs is just wonderful to listen to.

It does nothing for bad puns, however.

i think many of the songs from MEM are a bit repetitive. it's good, but it's no ys or have one on me.

probably my favorite track:

This one at the moment. Still not as good as Master of Reality, though.

I like Aftertaste quite a bit. Definitely more straight-forward but I think it's good. Haven't listened to anything after it though, and don't intend to. I should try Strap It On again because the last time I tried, I didn't care for it.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

The Telescopes - Taste
What an incredibly mind-blowing album. This album combines the noise and feedback of J&MC and the spaciness of Spacemen 3 with the intensity and snarl of punk rock. Brilliant stuff.

The Fiery Furnaces-Gallowbird's Bark
On track 4 and already wondering where this band has been all my life.
