Sometimes it's easy to forget how good some albums are. Stunning.

It's up there with Slayer's Reign In Blood for sheer intensity and longevity. THE Power Violence album that virtually started it all off. 20 mins of pure controlled aggression. Proof and 'only' 20 years + old:

Electric Wire Hustle - Every Waking Hour. It's like Funk and Trip Hop have been stripped down to their essence, reunited and let forth upon the world. Sexy as melting ice over your nipples.

Portugal. The man

These three albums in this order:
American Ghetto
Censored Colors
The Satanic Satanist

I saw them last week and they were wonderful. Like all music, the more i listen, the more i notice... And i sort of build a relationship with each song, each album, and the artists. Its love.

Some friends talked me into seeing them live last year and I really enjoyed the show. Their albums haven't really grabbed me all that much though. I haven't listened to them since a few weeks after the show.

I have been listening to Shpongle for the last couple of days for the first time and quite impressed although it is a much older album (Are You Shpongled?). Be interesting to hear what they sound like 10+ years on.

Remarkably they're pretty consistant with there sound even in there older material. "Nothing Lasts...But Nothing is Lost" is when they kind of "matured" there sound a bit. That whole album is pretty much one huge song. That being said I've been on an unintentional electronic binge it seems today (must be the state of mind I'm in O.o) and have another album I've been "digging". Way to many "quotes" in this post I apologize.

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works, Vol II

A pretty ****ing diverse album. Can't name many albums that have made me feel comfortable one moment and spooked like I've witnessed some murder the next. I really love it.
