Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Devotional and Love Songs
I've only completely listened to two of his albums, and I'm completely stunned. He easily might become my favorite musician. One of my favorite songs from the album: |

Hotel of the Laughing Tree - Terror and Everything After (2011) Pretty awesome alternative rock/ indie rock album that has more bite to it than most. The band delves into psudo progressive rock on a few tracks and it really seems like they have something to say. Pretty solid debut all things considered, I see this band doing big things this decade. Also I gotta love the Dr. Seuss inspired album cover. |

The Joy Formidable-The Big Roar Awesome album! One of my favourite of this year and I previously thought of this band as pretty mediocre.....Sounds amazing through headphones, The Big Roar was a good name for the album |

Yeah it's a pretty damn good album and one of my favourites of the year. Why did you see them as mediocre before? A Balloon Called Moaning was pretty damn solid and bursting with youthful energy, but I do think that with The Big Roar they've really outdone themselves, even the re-recorded songs sound better. One thing that does irk me a bit though is the sound on the album. It does sound pretty huge but they could have mastered it at more generous volume, it sounds a bit too compressed and loud.
