Oh ****. Excellent, diverse post/synth/art punk album. It's sick and angry sounding. I'd say that if you like Wire's 154, then you'll like this.

Oh, and there's a sick as **** cover of Ice Ice Baby (of all things).
I love Wire so would take a chance on this.

Still doing Death Metal proud. I feel like a kid back in '89 listening to this.

More Retro Metal goodness. Graveyard:

Ooh, count me intrigued! I'll have to check that one out.

I'm currently digging:

Fantastic stuff. I have no idea why I never checked it out before now.

Yeah, that's a great album. I actually prefer Nia, but pretty much anything they have put out is worthwhile.

Currently digging:

Mastodon - Remission

Never really checked out their debut before, and I am glad I went for their newer stuff first, because I don't particularly like this album all that much. It's good, but nowhere near their other albums in my view.

Yeah, have to agree. By the end of it I was just pretty bored and wanted it to end. That didn't happen with their other releases that I have listened to.

The emcee for that group, Gift of Gab, dropped a new album this year called The Next Logical Progression. It's pretty good and sounds A LOT like a Blackalicious release. I'm hoping they put out a new album this year because it's been 7 years since they dropped The Craft and we're well overdue for another one.

But lately i've grown to love it, it's not one of the best albums of the year but it's certainly one of the best debuts. You really have to appreciate the timeless, innocent feel of songs like 'What's In It For?', 'One Last' and 'Where's Your Dirty Mind'. A very memorable album.
Got this recently and must say I am enjoying it.

Blood Orange - Coastal Grooves

One of the most interesting albums I've heard in a while. This guy blends chillwave, R&B, and surf rock with a Chinese theme. It's addictive and all I can say is you have to listen to it to get an accurate idea of what is going on here. Check out one of the best tracks on the album:

Blouse - Blouse

If you like early Cure stuff, you'll probably like this.

Mr. Mutha****in Exquire - Lost In Translation

Cannot believe I only just got round to this. Loved the Huzzah remix for ages, but totally forgot about the album. It's not mind blowing, but I do enjoy it quite a lot to be honest. Exquire is a very solid MC and his topics range from hilarious to socially conscious, which is all good.

There's actually a real band called Blouse?

No matter how good they might be they're already tarnished for me because of this.......
