Definitely one of their better later albums.

Definitely makes up for nyc ghosts and flowers, that's for sure. I have yet to hear Murray Street, heard that's a good one.

I just got Sonic Nurse last week and it is quite good. Murray Street is great, definitely get that. I may sound like an old man by saying this but the only thing I don't quite like about that one is that several tracks end in on-going noise...or maybe that only bothered me because the last few times I listened to it was in the car, during relatively short city trips. So I don't have as much patience and want listenable material. For headphone listening, it probably wouldn't be an issue at all. I haven't bothered with NYC Ghosts & Flowers due to the low ratings on RYM.

I like the Viktor Vaughn album quite a bit more than Madvillain's. Both are good, but I think VV is my favorite DOOM output.

Which is your second favourite?

Operation: Doomsday probably. Madvillainy, The Mouse and the Mask and Mm.. Food are all pretty much tied after that. But according to my RYM ratings, Madvillainy actually falls last out of the 4.

TSIGOTI - Read Between the Lines... Think Outside Them

Cool as fuck arty punk/no-wave album. Very much a mixed bag indeed.

I've heard The Mouse and the Mask, and it is indeed great. I haven't got any time to listen to the others you've mentioned yet. I will.

The Besnard Lakes - Volume I (2003)
Three listens in, this is a really good indie rock with some noise, post-rock, dream pop and shoegaze elements. And they have two more albums for me to dive into, plus another one coming in April. That's awesome!

I have to say, every single time I see this band's name I read it as "Barenaked Ladies" at first glance.

Just wait till you hear The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night...every time it hits "Chicago Train", I have to start doing some emotive air guitar regardless of where I am...even if it's just subtly so I don't embarrass myself. They should be releasing a new album this year as well, so I'm pretty excited.
