Yeah, that's always been the standout track for me as well. I'd even go as far as saying I consider it equal to the original.

I don't recognize the 're-formed' JA stuff either. The live s/t album, Nothing's Shocking, and Ritual de lo Habitual are Jane's Addiction. And all 3 are essential. Nothing's Shocking has always been my favorite and I'll go one further to say that Jane's Addiction's RS cover is better than the original. I don't like the Stones though so nevermind me.

Polar Bear Club, Thrice, and Four Year Strong

Literally can't put these three down:

Thrice - Major/Minor
Four Year Strong - In Some Way, Shape, or Form
Polar Bear Club - Clash Battle Guilt Pride

Literally? Phew, that's rough. I hope they're only stuck to one hand at least.

Sound seems pretty good so far.

I just had those on my head at the Apple store last week. They sounded pretty flippin' magnificent.

I did a search on last.fm for bands that have a similar sound to pg.lost, and these guys popped up. Really doing a great job in making a good impression upon first listen. Definitely going to check out more of their stuff.

They are pretty flippin' magnificent if I do say so myself.

Brain Police - Beyond The Wasteland (2009)

One of those under-the-table gems that got lost in the shuffle a few years back, but one I return to periodically. Think of the best aspects of Soundgarden colliding with Led Zeppelin and you'll have some indication of why it stays in my orbit.

Kontrust -Second Hand Wonderland

Pretty rare gem from Austria. A mix of metal, pop, reggea-influenced vocals with a heavy emphasis on crossover. They do a pretty decent job of keeping each piece unique while maintaining a unified group-sound.

Really don't know any groups to compare it to... It's pretty much a love it/hate it band really.

Droney-post-shoegaze that sounds like it was recorded on an cassette 4-track. The guitars intertwine and snake their way through dynamic rhythms and soundscapes and the vocals are almost all done in whispers, which combined with the production, creates a dark subterranean psychedelic vibe.. Really in love with this album, their first album, Black Earth, was pretty good but was a lot more Droney and less Shoegazey. This one, however, Kind of sounds like a less dense version of what I had hoped M.B.V. would sound like.
