Tonight it's a bit of old school Genesis, and one of my favorite albums of all time...

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway

Fan - freaking - tastic classic album!

How/why have I never heard of this band before? If their other stuff is anything compared to this, I think I've found a new favorite band.

I used to dig Overkill, in the late 80s and very early 90s. I had Under the Influence, The Years of Decay and Horrorscope, thought all were good. I had a Horrorscope t-shirt! I just looked at their discography and had no idea they'd still been releasing albums regularly since those days.

Heh, Reachin' was my first hip-hop album. Really relaxing stuff, especially "What Cold Breezes Do".

Nice...Blowout Comb was good too, but I always preferred this one over it.

Wow, seems like a pretty popular album around here. Glad to hear it...I've been trying to get people back into these guys. So far all my friends have enjoyed it while we are hanging out as well...which doesn't always happen with my music. I guess I should be checking out Blowout Comb, then...

Dead Can Dance - Into the Labyrinth

My first extended dose of DCD for quite a while now, and once I'm started on them it's pretty hard to stop. Not quite among my favourites of theirs, but still a fabulous album, and a great rep of that whole medieval mutant of new age thing they had going on at one point.

Jaga Jazzist - One-Armed Bandit (2010)

Really enjoying this one over the past few months. I remember on first listen, I found a few nice melodies but thought it was kind of mess. Now it's just beautiful. Nu-jazz, jazz/rock fusion, post-rock (Tortoise-style), progressive rock...I don't know what to call it at all, but it's good.

Easily one of the best albums of 2010.
