Hookworks - Pearl Mystic

Great album, not sure how to describe it. A more psychedelic Goat? I don't know, but I'd advise giving it a listen

Even after a year, this record still manages to blow me away.

I'm currently digging on the 2013 releases, Frank Turner's "Tape Deck Heart" and The Appleseed Cast's "Illumination Ritual"

I have found a hip hop album that has me hooked. This is an important achievement.

I love that this album focuses equally on music and lyrics, and that the latter are thoughtful and don't contain enough profanity to take me out of the music.

Now, if someone can recommend me more like this, I'll be an official convert. Discerning, but converted.

I'm so hooked on Sparks' "Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins" lately.

I never really paid much attention to it before, but now I really enjoy it. I'm not one for cheesy 90s club/electronic stuff, but this is Sparks. Of course I'm going to love it.

You might enjoy K'Naan's 2005 debut album The Dusty Foot Philosopher, he even had a bit of a feud with k-os, although with them both being Canadian artists it was very civilized and was sorted out quickly.

I will give that a go. I've heard bits and pieces of Troubadour, and was alternatingly impressed and annoyed with it, so I'm not sure how that one would pan out.
