THE POGUES - RUM, SODOMY & THE LASH (1985)
I've been digigng this band for quite a few months now. Best drinking music ever.

DARK TRANQUILITY - THE GALLERY (1995)
Revisited this one and have been really into it again lately. Strikes a great balance between aggressive death metal and melody.

I love it and I'm not sure why some of his fans don't but it's really good and I have been listening to it so much since I got it.

I know its old, but seriously can this album be any less awesome? No matter what sort of listening mood I am in I can always enjoy this album from start to finish.

I posted this in the 'what are you listening to' thread a couple of evenings ago, and I have had to listen to it about 3 times a night for the last few days its just amazing to me, I love Badu's voice over the really laid back, bass heavy Jazz influenced music

Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy

I sat on this release for a while and I have to say, it really grew on me. Indie folk, indie rock, whatever it is, it's emotional and interesting.

Tegan and Sara - The Con

I Tegan and Sara and it's hard to explain why. I still haven't decided which one of their albums is my favorite, and I think that's because I pretty much like them all.

Loving this right now. Very nice Cocteau Twins-esque Shoegaze, catchy as hell and just really fun to listen to.

There's some great songs on that album but overall it does feel a bit inconsistent compared to their other stuff and i never really liked it as much. My T&S album of choice lately is If It Was You, it's one good song after another and in my view is probably their most consistent album.

Meanwhile an album i cannot stop listening to is...

The Joy Formidable - The Big Roar
I loved their debut mini-album A Balloon Called Moaning but this is just bloody fantastic. I've been listening to this album almost non-stop for just over a month now and i'm still addicted. It's one of the most passionate albums i've heard in a long time.
