Albert Ayler Trio - Spiritual Unity

This is some good shit. One of the best jazz albums I have every heard.

1.)I cant get enough of David Byrne and St. Vincents Love This Giant- its quirky and reminiscent of Talking heads, but also showcases Annie Clark's experimental sensibilities and horn driven sounds

2.) Tom Waits-Bad As Me, definitely breaks some new ground on this one, which for Mr Waits, seems so effortless. How he keeps fresh after 40 years is beyond me, but its partly due to the fact that he is always evolving and another artist who isn't afraid to experiment with his sound. He was industrial before it was cool

3.) Mumford & Sons-Sigh No More, its epic folk rock, deep and soulful lyrics and just moves me in a way most folk just doesn't. Besides Marcus Mumford has a great vocal quality that captivates and stirs. HE spills his souls as does the band and that is hard to ignore, but also gets you moving with strong, tribal like back beats

Kylesa - Static Tensions (2009)
I had one of their songs on a compilation for a number of years but I didn't actually check them out properly until now. This album certainly did not disappoint, intense sludge metal with a bit of a hardcore edge. The dual drummers sound great as well, playing off each other perfectly and giving the album a distinct sound. I approve!

Wow! Awesome name and awesome album. Dirty Electronica? Yes please! The album is Humanoids From The Deep which a few on here may may dig the title!

The Miserable Rich came out before many went mental for Mumford and Sons and they are now on their third album and from the U.K. Stunning band.

Band of Horses - Everything All the Time (2006)
I've been revisiting this chestnut from a few years back, which seems to be getting better with age. I heard a little of there brand new album Mirage Rock recently and it actually sounds really good.

Vetiver - Tight Knit (2009)
Indie folk from San Francisco. Their last 2 of 5 albums were released on Sub Pop.

Godspeed You! Cat Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Paws Like Antennae to Heaven

Though not quite as well known as their contemporaries Meowgwai or Si-purr Rós, GY!CE has put the claws back into post rock with a scratching-good release.
