Nujabes - Metaphorical Music

I'm obsessed. I got his whole discography but have yet to even move on from this album, it's just so wonderful and uplifting. Probably the best hip hop album I've ever listened to.

I can see why you would love that album so much. It's absolutely stunning musically. I got a bit bored of it after a while personally though.

Otomo Yoshihide New Jazz Trio - Lonely Woman (Single)

I'm performing a solo version of Lonely Woman in a couple of weeks so I've been listening to the original Coleman piece as well as a lot of covers. This album has six different versions of Lonely Woman, with quintet, trio, and solo performances. I think my favourites on here are the trio versions because they have the best guitar work. The quintet has Jim O'Rourke on synths so you can't go wrong there. Great stuff.

Wasn't sure what to expect from this, thought it would be a lot more folky than it was. It actually sounds more kind of like contemporary adult singer songwritery pop more than anything.
Enjoyed it a lot though

Absolutely wonderful microhouse album. I can't believe that I put off listening to this for a few years, because this is quite beautiful.
