Electric Warrior is top notch, The Slider is really good but a step down.

Pretenders - Pretenders (1980) I was familiar with a few of the singles like "Brass In Pocket" and "Kid", but for some reason had never heard the entire album. Quite the debut album. Strong rhythm section and I really dig James Honeyman Scott's guitar playing. Then of course...Chrissie Hynde. She is sexy, strong and has a great unique voice. "Precious", "Up the Neck", "The Wait" and "Mystery Achievement" are highlights for me. Rock solid from start to finish. Last edited by PavementRunner; 02-08-2016 at 08:16 PM. Reason: spelling |

Is Cheikh Lô any relation to Ismaël Lô? I was really into one of his albums at one point many years ago. |

Ed Motta - Perpetual Gateways (2016) The master returns with his second English language release, this time going for a Westcoast vocal jazz album in a Modal vein. Late 60's Herbie Hancock meets Steely Dan I suppose....and it ain't bad at all. Subsurfing - Frozen Ants (1995) Luscious ambient dub with a vaguely Middle Eastern feel. Ahead of it's time as far as production goes
