Yeah, it's a good 'un eh. I'll admit I only ever really listen to the first half of it these days, but it's worth having for 10th Avenue Freeze-Out alone.

And talking of Dad-rock...

Desert Rose Band - Desert Rose Band

One of many reasons why ex-Byrd Chris Hillman's easily among my favourite musicians, singers and songwriters. This is his debut as the Desert Rose Band - his project with a certain Herb Pedersen. So catchy it's almost unreal, and an album I still refuse to get bored of after about 3 or 4 months of virtually constant listening.

Love it. It was the soundtrack of my summer last year!

Raappana - Päivä On Nuori

Really great finnish reggae. Relaxing to listen and just chill.

Pg.Lost - It's Not Me, It's You

Great post-rock album. Listened to this when I took a walk yesterday. It was awesome to listen to this since it was warm and the sun was setting.

Ive been revisiting some albums in the wake of the passing of a metal legend.

The JDs - Education

This is a new project consisting of Jack Dangers from Meat Beat Manifesto and Jon Drukman from Bass Kittens and it's pretty frickin awesome. No way a fan of MBM would be disappointed in this. I'm not familiar with BK so I don't know what influence he has brought, but apparently he's more of a digital guy where as Jack Dangers of MBM is more into analog equipment...so I guess it's a mix of the two. This is my third listen and I suppose while thinking about it, I can hear it. Nice vocal samples in the style of MBM too (only complaint is that a couple are reused from MBM songs).

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
