How can you count out a band that sold over 35 million albums in the US. You say that they are "hair metal shit, but that is the same as saying that Metallica are crappy hard rock. A band changing thier sound does not mean that they were always that genre. Def Leppard started out as NWOBHM and hit the US charts as such before Hysteria which was thier first real glam album.

Glam metal was awful and record sales don't mean good.

They did a top 200 tracks of the 60s. They didn't even accept that it would be worth doing a top 100 LPs because supposedly "the LP didn't become the dominant format until the 70s".

Seems a lame reason to me, even if it's true (which I don't know).

the ART OF NOISE debut was a influential album in terms of recording technique at least.
