I counted half a point for New Order, otherwise you would have been right.

Don't deny your love of The Red, RT. Just accept it.

Seriously now, I can't watch that all the way through without getting sick.

And to think he went to that...from this;

For Paloma.
Here's my mate Andy Farley's old band called The Hoax, with Joyce on drums.

I wonder if it just for gigs or to record new material or both? Could be very interesting if they decide to put out a new album but they should be wise and just gig and introduce themselves to a whole new legion of fans.

Swings wildly between being a great pop song and awful rubbish. It brings to mind a Proustian rush of Christmas shopping in Irish Department stores.

But yeah,Stone Roses reunion has "disaster" written all over it.

Goofle 11-05-2011 06:27 AM

Oh dear, people seem to have a downer on The Stone Roses. Personally they are the band that got me into music, and will forever have a place in my heart.

Can't knock it, unless you are a soulless bugger.

Salami 11-05-2011 09:54 AM

The Stone Roses will always be my favourite local band. I don't think anyone can really knock them without feeling a bit stupid.

All three Bee Gees were from the Isle of Man!

right-track 01-14-2012 12:37 PM

Depending on what source you read. Some have Barry Gibb born Manchester, 1946.
Others including wiki say Isle of Man.
As I understood it Barry was born in Manchester. Though I admit I could be wrong...

Haha well I hate them and I don't feel too stupid saying that. I just really don't like their sound. Tastes can differ more than ya think and some people just have particular pet peeves in music. Something about Ians voice is just fundamentally opposed to my ears.

Goofle 01-14-2012 05:17 PM

^ I suggest you download "The Very Best Of The Stone Roses" and give it a proper listen.

This Simon Cowell character couldn't touch Joan Rivers with a 20 foot pole.

cuz she'd explode into dust.

blastingas10 01-23-2012 06:02 PM

Better than Zepp.

ThePhanastasio 01-23-2012 10:47 PM

As far as things involving Ozzy Osbourne, I think Black Sabbath was A-Okay. The musicianship was there.

Howard the Duck 01-24-2012 02:29 AM

nobody can touch the first six albums

of the Birmingham 3, anyway

blastingas10 01-25-2012 01:49 AM

I don't think bill ward gets enough credit as a drummer.

Howard the Duck 01-25-2012 03:51 AM

i don't think Dio gets enough of a credit as singer for them

he's often compared to Ozzy
