I am good friends with Whitely and I knew Embury to talk to (he lived close to me). I also knew Simon from Cerebral Fix quite well. I lived next door to the Wonder Stuff for a while and have had a drink with Clint Mansell (PWEI and now a Hollywood film composer) I grew up just outside Brum and have many ties there and spent my wasted youth there. I only exchanged pleasentaries with Mick. He always seemed slightly aloof but then i was just a 17 year old kid and knew nothing!

I love this bootleg. This was recorded for the radio while touring for his New Values album (also my favourite). He has a killer backing band with him including Glen Matlock of the Pistols , Brian James of The Damned & Ivan Kral of the Patti Smith Band. The stage is falling apart , there's some guy in the audience getting him more & more pissed off, in short this is an amazing gig. There are a few sound problems but once you get used to it you'll warm to it.
And you get a Kinks cover too, what more could you want?
I play this at least 3 or 4 times a week ... it's THAT good.
