Actually, Ringo helped very little with the songwriting. He sang on just one song per album, and the other three usually had to write it for him.

As previously mentioned by other posters, he was most definitely a mediocre drummer.

As for the title of this thread, change it to "Paul McCartney WAS Beatlemania", and it will be accurate.

Really...Beatlemania was essentially a clever marketing scheme, and adorable haircuts.

With regard to the chords, the interview EXPLICITLY describes Paul coming up with ideas. He was as much a part of the process as John. Moreover, the whole "Lennon/McCartney" thing started for a reason. Originally, they actually DID write the songs in a true partnership - "played into each other's noses", as Lennon said. The partnership only really ended well after Beatlemania had begun. Your claims are just absolute garbage.

You can continue dreaming that John Lennon wrote those major early hits himself. But you're ignoring the facts and EVEN what Lennon said himself in countless damn interviews.
The songwriting partnership ended well after Beatlemania began? John and Paul had both stated that they had essentially ended their partnership before they ever appeared on Ed Sullivan. The songs that we consider 'Paul' songs were written exclusively by Paul, and the 'John' songs likewise have little to no input from Paul. John and Paul have said that themselves.

In case you hadn't noticed all of your counter-arguements are invalid, or have already been burned to the ground.

Only Ringo was by no means mediocre on drums.

His drumming style was very distinctive at the time. His use of the match grip was not common in rock music at the time, but its standard procedure.

You can recognise Any Beatles song just by hearing the drum part alone.
