Sorry guys... haha just a personal opinion. i liked thier easy listening songs better, like let me hold your hand and yellow submarine. they seemed like they were trying to modernize in this album and i disliked it... granted the cd has a few good song on it. but i dont have many beatles albums, only like 3 or 4 so im no expert on these guys. my mom is a big beatles fan so i have a little background information but i hang out with my dad more, so yeah no expert. shame on me

I'll put my fav albums in order

Revolver
Sgt. Pepper's
Abbey Road
Let it Be
The White Album
Magical Mystery Tour
Help!
A Hard Day's Night
With the Beatles
Please Please Me
Rubber Soul
Beatles for Sale

What's with all the Let it Be bashing? And for some reason people say Across the Universe is the saving grace? The title song is one of the greatest songs ever, not to mention just from the Beatles. Get Back, Dig a Pony, and The Long and Winding Road are great songs. Just watch the rooftop concert.

I think Beatles for Sale is their worst, I can't really listen to any of the songs without changing to another album.

And if anyone puts Rubber Soul I'm right there with you. Has a few decent ones but mostly disappointing.

Also, even though I really like Magical Mystery Tour, I thought quite a few people really don't like it. Or they don't know it exists.

There is no way Rubber Soul is worse than Help!, A Hard Day's Night, With the Beatles and Please Please Me. Disappointing? In My Life is easily one of the greatest Beatles songs ever and I've Just Seen a Face, Norwegian Wood, I'm Looking Through You, Michelle, Nowhere Man, etc all amazing songs. What's wrong with it? The only problem I see with it, is it's not too different than their material for it which wasn't that great but since you rank all those albums higher than it...

In My Life is forgettable. Norwegian Wood is easily their most overrated song.

I've Just Seen a Face was on the British version of Help! first, and is easily one of their best songs.
All the early albums had solid material, which I think Rubber Soul is mostly lacking (though I by no means dislike the album, which it probably comes across like)

If they had included Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out on the album, it'd probably be in my top 5

Doesn't make it any less good.

Yeah but you're from Texas which is in America and either way thats minus one good song of several. Rubber Soul even not counting that still has better songs than Help!

So those two tracks can save a supposedly completely unsolid album? That logic really isn't so great, especially seeing as neither track can hold a candle to In My Life or even I'm Looking Through You.

The British versions of the albums are the "real" versions. And yeah, with a few solid tracks an album can branch out. Without any there's no reason to sit down and listen to the whole thing.
And In My Life + I'm Looking Through You aren't nearly as good as the singles released at the same time.

Yeah but you're America I'm willing to bet you weren't raised on the british version of albums.

...How does how well they would've worked as singles affect how good they are?
