I think it was Longview by Green Day. They were actually the first band i ever fell in love with, and i actually bought ever one of their CDs sadly.

silverchairs frogstomp, first cd i ever bought and i believe the song i loved was pure massacre or really any of those songs on that album.... oh it's awful one of those teen angst things

This song will always remain with me. Came out in 1981. I was 9. Loved it then and still love it now. I think it's hypnotic feel holds up very well. I am posting the vid because there are very few of us who know this!

The Rolling Stones ~ Paint it Black is the first song I truly fell in love with. And I still love it dearly.
